Energy Materials Technician - late shift
Purpose of the Job:
This is an opportunity to make a difference to the
way the world generates energy by becoming part of an advanced Energy Materials
Research and Development team. Supporting a team of highly skilled R&D
scientists developing the next generation of clean energy electrochemical
devices. Carrying out complex lab based tasks, accurately recording data and giving
critical feedback to the R&D team.
This position is for a late shift technician but would require some flexibility (2 – 10pm with 60minutes of break per shift)
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure development project deadline and
tasks are satisfied.
- Support Energy Materials team through
operating machines related to ink development, ink QC, coating deposition and
inspection of cell as required.
- Support Energy Materials team to develop
ink and deposition related process.
- Provide input to Energy Materials with
relevant result, report and data as required.
- Maintain adequate stocks of tooling and
raw materials to complete the required processes and report any shortages.
Experience Required:
- Previous manufacturing operations
experience.
- Previous experience as a Laboratory
Technician.
- Experience with some of the following
techniques strongly preferred: Bead milling, Triple Roll Mills, Screen
Printing, etc.
- Experience of working in controlled
areas eg GMP, clean room
- Previous quality control measurement and
reporting experience
- Experience of working in controlled
areas, eg clean room
Qualifications / Skills Required:
- Good communication skills (verbal and
written) ability to follow written instruction
- Good attention to detail with excellent
prioritisation and follow up skills
- Basic IT skills, evidence of numeracy
and skills (including proficiency with MS Office applications)
- Hard working and flexible with a “can do” attitude
- Energetic and self-starting
- Ability to work as part of a team
Internal and External Relationships:
- Daily contact with team members in the Energy Materials (R&D), and the Lab Technician Manager.
- Close collaboration / liaison with
prototype manufacturing staff.
